Bose QuietComfort 15 Noise Cancelling Headphones
I recently picked up the Bose QC15 headphones for a great price (brand new in box, local pickup from eBay). The pros on this set of headphones are that they're comfortable, good a class-leading job of noise cancellation, and the sound is crisp and clear.
The only con is the price; however, I got mine for very cheap. Actually, if these had a microphone (I know, I keed), this set would be perfect because I'd be able to use these on VoIP calls on Skype or Google Chat.
Generally speaking, I'm anti-Bose because I think they spend a lot of money on marketing and pump up their pricing to pay for it. But the headphones made me change my mind. I fly frequently, and I needed a pair.
Do any of you have noise-canceling headphones? What do you have and what are you thoughts on them?

bose has been around for a long time
Great post. I'm in the market for a good set. I think I'll get one of those too. How much was it?
ps. if you don't use winamp, what do you use?
looks cool, im already using a pair of cheap earphones, those would be cool
They're expense, but I bet they sound nice.
a mic on these WOULD be awesome. great post! Since I busted my studio headphones a while back I've been looking for some new ones.
Never had one of those, but look good to me. Maybe when I save some money
I had some a looong time ago and they were great, but they broke :( Idr the brand
I've actually been wondering about Bose. My brother stands by it but they seem highly overpriced.
One of the best investments I have made!
Ah I need a new pair of headphones, preferably not as expensive as Bose tend to run
I thing they are great.
dont have one :( You must be quite lucky to find one cheap ;p
I have somewhat noise canceling earphones by Shure but they hurt after a while so I'm thinking of getting headphones next.
wow rlly nice headphones
are those active noise-cancelling headphones?
mine are passive, but still incredibly useful in planes, you feel isolated from everything (you can still hear around you, but it's mellow and is easy to ignore)
i have some noise-canceling headphones and they work just fine. :O
wow, this look great !
nice one
I'm actually not sure whether my own headphone is noise-cancelling.
I don't own a pair, but I've always wanted one. The price, like you said, kind of always put me off on getting them so I just stuck with earphones. These Bose ones look awesome though!
I've been wanted to get a pair of them for a long time.
never had the pleasure of owning a pair of noise cancellers. i'd assume you cant hear anything when you wear them?
they look great...i think the sound is amazing
i've heard of these as well
i may get them
i don't have any noise canceling headphones. sure wish i had some though.
I don't have a pair but my boyfriend and brother used some and now they won't shut up about em and want a pair lol
I love Bose product, but they are to expensive for my tastes, but because it's such a decent product that's what makes it expensive.
highly agreeable.
ah nice headphones!
I don't have any..but I'd like to at least check a set out.
Yeah, I've always wanted a pair of noise cancellation headphones. I always seem to get stuck near the engines when I fly and it makes it impossible to really sleep or focus on reading and the like do to the noise being so grating.
I currently have the Razer Carcharias. Won them in a raffle and I will NEVER go to anything else. These are amazing. Thanks for the review.
Those would be great for that long skate day.
interesting, keep it up :D
I against Bose as a company but their products are at least halfway decent so I never discount a used set or a product of theirs on sale. I get all my headphones through the company Sennheiser. I love them and do all my buying through them, for earbuds and for noise cancelling, they are just top notch.
I currently have a Sennheiser headset and I have been looking into Bose. Nice review.
Boss is always making some good hardware but it's quite expensive
I agree entirely.
Nope, but I tried these befores, I felt like I was waaaayyy ahead of the civiliztion, the canceling tech is amazing!
I definitely need a pair of these...shitty ipod headphones only here. :(
This is great!
I've sampled these things in the store. They are badass, but... yes, ridiculously priced and... me gots no munny
hm not bad. I generally look down on bose too, but might have to try these sometime.
My friend has them. They are fucking amazing.
Bose is always super expensive
I would shy away from Bose because you will be paying a lot more for them than you should be. Check out Sennheiser, Pioneer, AKG, maybe even Sony headphones
I've been wanting to get some of these for ages, but the price tag always pushes me back
I dont really have enough money to get some bose noise canceling headphones. But I have tried them, and they are pretty awesome
I need a pair of noise-canceling headphones; I'm rocking some cheap POS earbuds at the moment. They'd be a godsend on flights. Thanks for the review of these!
i want one
Wow I need some of these.
I want a pair, but I need something cheap and effective.
Bose is just a brand name in headphones. It doesn't mean they are the best, it just means yo are buying a name. Yeah they make great products, just other companies make better ones for cheaper. But I still love my Bose haha :P
Don't have any myself, but going to look further into these since I travel quite a bit myself.
Never got a pair but i bought a sweet pair of Skullcandy DJ headphones for about 50 bucks and when I put them on and turn the volume up halfway I cant hear anything else but my music and its coming in crystal clear.
I bought $2 headphones all my life. Once I finally laid down $70 on a nice pair, the difference was IMMENSE.
Then they got stolen only a few days after I got them.
feels bad man.
i don't have noise-canceling headphones, but might try these.
Look good but they are a bit expensive... I need new headphones. Right now i'm using Microsoft Live chat ones....
they look like a sick pair of headphones
I'd love a pair. I hate earbuds.
I just use normal cheap headphones :D
I personally use the Skullcandy Skullcrusher Dj headphones with the bass amplifier, I do also think bose is nice, but also at the same time the marketing and the pricing is just freakishly too much. My headphones cancel a decent ammount of sound, and any other noise will of course drown out the outside noise.
those look sweet
Oh I want some. I've never owned any noise-canceling headphones, but I will eventually. I've just always been happy with my regular little earbuds that came with my iPod and iPhone. I know those are terrible compared to others, but I don't mind them for now.
damn those seem nice
bose is still making great stuff!
I don't think you can hear anything around you when wearing those.
Never liked Bose..Actually you pay the brand and not the quality
No, but I need to pick some up, actually. I know Bose is a solid brand, though, and that's one of the ones I will look at. Thanks for the info.
In my opinion, noise canceling headphones are worth it only if you're traveling a lot.
Any other time I wear mine, I feel really uncomfortable. What if I don't hear my phone ring? What if I don't hear the doorbell? What if someone is sneaking up behind me with a knife.
Yeah, I'm paranoid. But on the other hand, I love good bass.
bose headphones are the shit..but i cannot possibly justify paying for a pair
I travel a lot by bus and it's very necessary.
Hmm my dad has that same pair. I don't spend money on headphones because I don't use them enough (and when I do, I am working out).
Nice post I'll be here daily!
I'm actually looking for a pair of nice headphones. These look really nice, but fuhh, the price tag. Do you have any other headphone recommendations?
Thanks for the suggestion! I've been meaning to buy myself a set of nice headphones but never got around to researching into it. Good post and thanks for checking mine out! Be sure to follow as I'm following yours! Thanks and keep it up :)

I have a pair of skullcandy headphones, i read good reviews...did a little homework but overall was a bit disappointed with their performance. sure they cancel out some sound but not entirely and the sound quality is not worth the price
If you want something small and earbuds, I'd highly recommend Klipsch. Extremely awesome sound, highly effective at cancelling noise, and relatively cheap (I got mine for $79)
Looks sexy, could do with a new pair, my pc is loud :(
My problem is headphones like these seem to break far too easy for me
I dont know if they are "noise canceling" but I have the Sony MDR 7506 studio headphones, and it is near impossible to hear anyone else around me when I have these on. The sound is amazing, and the comfort is about a 8/10 for the first few hours of wearing, then anything after 4 hours is somewhat uncomfortable.
how much were they!? i really want one
